Google Debuts Slick Text Ad Redesign for the Modern Web
Google is rolling out some redesigned text ads for its display ad network. The new ad units look fresher and, Google believes, are more in tune with the modern web. There's more space, better fonts, and better colors."We're beginning to give our text ads a modern look designed to enhance their performance and the overall user experience," Google announced.
"Our new design puts a strong emphasis on readability. We've introduced larger and clearer titles, more generous white space, and a flat circular button design, which complements the colors of other elements in the ad," it added.
Google has also rolled out a new look for the multiple ads unit, which lists several ads from different companies but only expands one. Now, the ads are expanded when a user hovers or touches on one in the list, making it easier to get more details while still occupying only a small amount of space.
