All-in-one personal computers often look like one-piece monitors, with just the barest of support behind to hold them up, but one of the new ones from Lenovo departs from that model in favor of greater mobility.

Called A530, it is one of the three new desktop AiOs from the Chinese company, and the only one that can be turned into a tablet, so to speak.
The adjustable screen can go from -5 to 90 degrees. It's a good thing, then, that the panel has 10-point multitouch functionality.
Speaking of the display, it is a 23-inch IPS LCD with a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and, thus, 16:9 aspect ratio.
The thickness of the screen is 21.5 mm, or 0.8 inches, at its thickest point, which means that it doesn't seem bulky even when overlaid on the 32 mm / 1.3-inch base.
As one may have guessed, an Intel 4th generation Core i7 central processing unit (CPU) runs the new computer, aided by up to 8 GB DDR3, one HDD or SSD (up to 1 TB capacity) and a second, integrated 8 GB SSD for caching purposes (enhances performance).
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 6-in-1 card reader and HDMI output ports are available as well, as is an integrated DVD reader-writer, unless customers choose a Blu-ray drive.
Moving on, Lenovo tossed in Dolby certified speakers and some unique goodies like Lenovo Rescue System (file backup, restoration and recovery) and Lenovo Eye Distance System (helps reduce eye strain).
Everything is packed inside an all-aluminum case, which is both stylish and strong. Or at least those are the words that Lenovo used to described it.

Sales of the Lenovo A530 all-in-one personal computer should start this month (October 2013), for $1,099 / €811.
