Facebook, the Year’s Fastest Rising Brand
Apple, Google and Coca Cola might take up the top positions in Interbrand’s list of the most valuable brands out there, but Facebook takes the cake when it comes to growth.
The social network’s brand ranks 52nd, with a value of $7,732 million (€5,726 million). The best part, however, is that it has grown 43 percent over the last year alone. That’s huge.
The only company that comes remotely close to Facebook’s growth isGoogle, with its 34 percent year-over-year growth. Apple, the world’s most valuable brand this year, only grew some 28 percent over the same period of time, while Coca Cola the brand that reigned over the list for 13 years, only had a 2 percent growth.
Similarly, Microsoft, a company that’s been on the list for a long time, only grew three percent, while Amazon had a 27 percent increase since last year.
