Nikon adds four new cameras to its Coolpix series

Nikon recently added four new cameras to its Coolpix series—the L820, L28, L27 and S2700. The cameras will be hitting stores this week.


With its high-power zoom lens and built-in lens-shift vibration reduction (VR) function, the Nikon Coolpix L820 aims to be a good addition to the L series. It offers improved specifications, including a backside illuminated CMOS sensor with an effective pixel count of 16 million pixels, a 30x optical zoom Nikkor lens covering the wide-angle 22.5 mm to super-telephoto 675 mm range of focal lengths (equivalent in 35mm [135] format), and a variety of functions, including full-HD movie recording. It will be available in black, red, blue, and plum colours, and will cost Rs 15,450.
 
The L28 is equipped with a CCD sensor that offers an effective pixel count of 20.1 million pixels. It is also equipped with features that make capturing high-quality images easy, including a 5x optical zoom Nikkor lens that covers the range of focal lengths from the wide-angle 26 mm to 130 mm (equivalent in 35mm [135] format), a 3-inch, TFT LCD monitor, and an HD movie recording function. It will be available in silver, black, red and, pink colours, and will cost Rs 5,950.

The L27 is equipped with a CCD sensor with an effective pixel count of 16.1 million pixels, a 5x optical zoom Nikkor lens, a 2.7-inch TFT LCD monitor, and functions such as HD movie recording. It will be available in silver, black, red, white and purple colours, and will cost Rs 4,990.
The Nikon Coolpix S2700 features a 6x optical zoom Nikkor lens, with a selection of automatic shooting functions, including six types of Scene Auto Selector modes to cover a wide variety of scenes. The camera boasts a wide variety of image editing functions such as Special Effects and Filter Effects, as well as advanced basic functions such as Motion Detection and Subject Tracking and HD movie recording. It will be available in silver, black, blue, red, purple and pink colours, and will cost Rs 6450.

The cameras are built for those looking for stylish design that offers easy operations to capture great photos, thereby offering trusted Nikon technology that users expect in Nikon Coolpix cameras”.
