HTC Butterfly Receiving Android 4.2.2 Update in India

Good news for HTC Butterfly owners in India, as the Taiwanese handset maker has just started the rollout of the long-awaited Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.

HTC India tweeted the announcement, but for now we don’t have any confirmation from HTC Butterfly users. “Upgrade to the BlinkFeed on your HTC Butterfly! Android 4.2.2 is out now. Announcements for other handsets to come soon,” the company says.

Although HTC hints at Android updates for other smartphones available in India, we’re not sure which ones will receive software upgrades in the following weeks, so stay tuned for more info on this.

Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for HTC Butterfly is pushed OTA (over-the-air) and contains lots of new features and improvements, including the new HTC Sense 5.0 UI and BlinkFeed.

HTC Butterfly users may want to check if their devices are eligible for this update by going to Settings / About Phone / System Updates.
