Battlefield 4 Beta Preload on PC Starts on September 29 via Origin, Requires 64-bit OS

Battlefield 4 is getting a beta soon

DICE has confirmed that its upcoming Battlefield 4 beta stage will be available for preload on the PC platform via the Origin service on September 29 at 10am PDT and noted that a 64-bit operating system is required to test the game.

Battlefield 4 is set to debut at the end of October but developer DICE wants to roll out a beta stage starting on October 1 so that PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 owners can try out the game while the studio tries out its different multiplayer systems.

On the PC, there are good and bad news, as DICE has revealed on the blogger blog that the hefty beta can be preloaded via the Origin service, starting as early as September 29 at 10am PDT.

However, only PC owners with 64-bit operating systems can try out the game, as DICE wants to see just how the game handles on such computers.

At launch, Battlefield 4 will support 32-bit Windows operating systems.
