Stardock released a brand-new Windows 8
utility called ModernMix that allows modern UI apps to run in their own
window, available in the classic Desktop environment.

Basically, what ModernMix does is to make the apps behave as if they
were regular desktop apps, “minimize,” “maximize” and “close” buttons
included. Thus, you can multitask or pin them to the taskbar.
The default state imposed by Microsoft is that they run in full screen
mode, which, in some cases, is extremely unpleasant, especially on very
large screens.
ModernMix is currently in beta stage of development and can be used for a
30-day trial period. The price tag for the full version of the
application is $4.99 (3.84 EUR). Check out the video above and the
