HTC unveils 4-inch Desire U with Android 4.0, 1GHz processor

HTC has announced a new 4-inch device in its home country dubbed as the Desire U. The device is expected to retail for 7990 New Taiwan Dollar (about $274) or at NT$ 291 per month on contract from Chunghwa Telecom. Launch details for other regions remain unknown at the moment.

Spice Stellar Pad (Mi-1010) review

 Although Spice had launched its first tablet, the MiTab as early as September 2011, it wasn't really able to get a foothold in the highly crowded Android tablets market, dominated by players like Micromax, Zync and Karbonn, amongst others. The company's sort of made a comeback with a new 10-inch tablet, which it calls, the Spice Stellar Pad (Mi-1010). The tablet with impressive specs has been priced well at Rs. 12,999 and runs Jelly Bean, the latest iteration of Android. Assassin's Creed 3: Tyranny of King Washington Chapter 1 Out on February 19

Assassin's Creed 3 is going to receive the first chapter in its special Tyranny of King Washington expansion, titled Infamy, on February 19, for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, and later in the year for the Wii U.
Assassin's Creed 3 came out at the end of last year across many different platforms, ranging from the PS3 and Xbox 360 to the PC and Wii U, and Ubisoft has already released a couple of DLC packs, in the form of the Hidden Secrets and the Battle Hardened add-ons.

Vine's straight shot to app stardom may have alarmed Facebook, which cut it off from its Friend-finding functionality and quickly "clarified" its policies to justify the action.

NY Subway App's About Halfway There

Granted, it beats trying to figure out your route while standing in a dank station staring at maps on a wall, but Visual IT's New York Subway app could be a whole lot better. It's great at providing live statuses, but it leaves a lot to the imagination when it comes to routing. I hope the developers will bulk up its routing capabilities, even if it adds to the app's cost. It would be worth it.

Microsoft Anti-Virus Hit by Virus Definition Update Issues

 Users are reporting that Microsoft’s very own Security Essentials anti-virus no longer receives virus definition updates due to what seems to be a bug on specific systems.

Huawei Ascend W1 to Land in Russia in February, Priced at $400/€300

The Ascend W1 is Huawei’s first Windows Phone 8 device. The smartphones was officially announced a few weeks ago and is slated for a February release.

Engineers at Fujitsu Laboratories are developing an HTML5-based platform for smartphones that designed to keep corporate data secure when accessed from employee-owned handsets.

HTC M7 to be announced on February 19 ahead of MWC: Source

 Everyone's eyeing HTC's second full-HD device that is expected to come out soon. How soon? Well, according to Twitter user @flapic, the HTC M7 could be launched at an event in London on February 19.

Google's engineers have been experimenting with hardware that would act as a master key for online services. NVIDIA: Tegra 4 Will Be Faster Than Apple iPad's A6X

 We weren't the only ones surprised to learn about those strange benchmarks in which NVIDIA'a Tegra 4 got trounced by the processor inside the Apple iPad.
