iStockPhoto Becomes iStock

iStockphoto has been around for many years and it has finally taken the time to rebrand itself. With a new name and logo, iStock hopes to bring on new users.
The online photo and managed image repository iStockPhoto has rebranded itself as iStock and the redesigned logo looks a lot simpler and clearer.
The logo also features the words ”by Getty Image,” making it clear that the service is part of the Getty emporium. The change comes a little late, however, since the service has been owned by Getty since 2008 when it shelled out $50 million (€37.5 million) for it.
While the name of the service has changed, the site’s URL remains the same for now. Whether they’re going to change it and simply redirect the sites later on, remains to be seen.
